Guide me O thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim in this barren land:
I am weak - but thou art mighty;
Hold me with thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more...

Stephanie this is beautiful. Is this a quote from Elisabeth Elliot or maybe Amy Carmichael? It sounds like Amy Carmichael.
It does sound like Amy Carmichael, I agree. It's actually part of a hymn by William Williams (lovely name, huh?!), later translated from Welsh to English by Peter Williams. The book in the picture is a hymnal probably near 150 years old, given to me by my Beppe. (dutch - grandmother)Some of the hymns just read like beautiful poetry - I love to sit and read them by candlelight!
How beautiful. I can imagine the worship this brings out in you as you read. Thanks for sharing that.
