The Hill, though high, I covet to ascend,
The difficulty will not me offend:
For I perceive the way to life lies here;
Come, pluck up, heart; lets neither faint nor fear:
Better, though difficult, the right way to go,
Than wrong, though easy, where the end is woe.
- Pilgrim's Progress
"Come, pluck up, heart!" I really don't know exactly why, but I love that line!
Prayers are offered up again and again, but answers don't seem to come...
Circumstances change, but not for the better...
Right conduct is not always rewarded...
And discouragement sets in. Weariness. It's these times that I need to remember the truth of Galatians 6:9:
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
And the harvest will make it all worth it...
